Today's Devotion

June 19

My Bible Verse:
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." -Hebrews 13:8

Billy went to church on Sunday. He learned about how God forgives sins. After supper, he was playing with his new toy airplane. He accidentally knocked over a glass that was on the table. It fell and broke. Mommy came over to see what happened and found Billy crying under the table. "What's the matter, Billy?" asked Mommy. "I was scared that I have to wait to go to church to tell Jesus I'm sorry for breaking the glass," he said. "Oh, Billy," said Mommy, "You don't have to wait. Jesus can listen to you any time and any place. He never goes away, and He's always ready to forgive. Let's talk to Him right now."

My Prayer:
Dear God, please help me to remember that you are the same every day, and that I can ask for forgiveness any time. Amen.
