40 days after Jesus rose from the dead, He was with His followers. He said to them, you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Then Jesus was lifted up right before their very eyes and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking up into the sky as He was going when suddenly two mean appeared in white clothes and stood beside them. One of them asked, "Why are you staring into the sky? Jesus will come back just as you saw Him go." On the other side of the clouds the angels watched Jesus come into heaven, walk through them to His throne at God the Father's right hand, and sit down to rule the heavens and the earth for us. On the Last Day Jesus will rise from His throne and bring all His angels along to judge the world and bring us to our home where we will live with Him forever.
